The specifications of the KPG multilingual examination suite are common for the test papers in all the languages for which levels of language proficiency are certified by the Greek Ministry of Education. These languages presently are: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.
The levels of proficiency certified are six, following the 6-level scale of the Council of Europe:
- A1+A2 (Basic User)
- B1+B2 (Independent user)
- C1+C2 (Proficient user)
The competences measured with the KPG test papers are:
- Reading comprehension and language awareness
- Writing (and B1 level also written mediation)
- Listening comprehension
- Speaking (and B1 level also oral mediation)
The specifications include competence descriptors, aligned to the Common European Framework of Refence for Languages.
